A severe road accident occurred in Gurugram, Haryana, on Sunday morning, leaving 17 people injured, including 15 female labourers. The collision took place near the Eldeco Society on the Sohna-Gurugram road when a speeding car rammed directly into a tempo packed with workers. The impact was so massive that the tempo lost control and flipped over three times on the asphalt. The sudden crash caused immediate panic and chaos at the scene.
Labourers Commuting for Work
According to local police authorities, most of the passengers inside the tempo were daily-wage earners heading to work. Among them were 15 women who were travelling toward Central Park located on the Sohna-Gurugram road for their morning shifts on Sunday. As the vehicle reached the vicinity of Eldeco Society, the speeding automobile crashed into them. The sudden collision sent the tempo careening out of control, causing it to roll over multiple times and trapping the occupants inside.
Locals Rush to Rescue
In the wake of the collision, cries for help echoed across the road. Driver Flees the Scene
The driver of the car abandoned the vehicle and fled from the location immediately after the crash. Police have successfully impounded the accident-causing vehicle.
