A shocking incident has come to light in the New Subhash Nagar area of Hansi district in Haryana, where a woman living in a live-in relationship was brutally killed. Police have cracked the case and apprehended the main accused. The deceased has been identified as Rachna, who was living with the accused. Initial investigations reveal that an argument broke out between the two over an unspecified issue, which quickly escalated into violence.
Fatal Attack with a Stick
According to police, a heated altercation took place between Rachna and the accused, Chandi. Enraged during the dispute, the accused lost control and struck the woman on the head with a stick. The severe blow proved fatal, causing her death on the spot. The violent outburst also endangered the children present at the home, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Injured Daughter and Recovered Son
During the incident, the accused also attacked Rachna's young daughter, attempting to harm her as well. The injured child was rushed to a hospital for medical treatment, where she is currently recovering, and doctors expect her condition to improve. Police stated that once the girl regains consciousness, her statement will help unearth further details about the sequence of events. Meanwhile, Rachna's seven-year-old son, Manav, who went missing following the incident, was safely recovered from the house of the accused's sister in Rohtak district. Police confirmed that the boy is uninjured and that the sister of the accused had no role to play in the crime.
Police Investigation and Accused Background
Sharing details of the case, DSP Akshay Kumar stated that preliminary investigations indicate the accused was alone at the time of the offense and launched the sudden attack following a domestic dispute. The arrested accused, Chandi, hails from Dhani Thakrian and previously worked at a hotel, though he had been missing from his workplace for some time prior to the incident. Authorities are currently verifying whether any prior criminal cases are registered against him. Police added that further legal actions will follow after rigorous interrogation, and the accused will be presented in court on Thursday.
