CCTV Video Captures Swift Execution of Sanjauli Slaying
A shocking CCTV video has surfaced detailing the cold-blooded murder of Manisha Mittal in the Sanjauli area of Shimla. The footage highlights the terrifying speed of the attack, which was executed in a mere 6 seconds. The clip shows the primary gunman approaching Manisha Mittal from behind at a school entrance and firing the first bullet directly into her head. Immediately after, a second shooter steps up to repeatedly fire at her head as she collapses onto the ground.
The targeted assault took place on June 13 at approximately 6:15 PM, leaving the quiet neighborhood in complete shock.
Eyewitness Security Guard Recounts the Terror
The school security guard, Yashpal, provided a crucial eyewitness account during police questioning. He reported hearing at least three distinct gunshots. Amid the chaos, he saw another masked man step forward and fire an additional round at Manisha Mittal after she had already fallen to the ground. The sheer brutality of the scene left the guard deeply traumatized.
Immediately after the shooters fled, Yashpal tried to raise the alarm. He first contacted the school principal, Neerav Verma. However, the principal initially dismissed the report, questioning if it was a prank call. Once Neerav Verma realized the gravity of the situation, he instructed the guard to contact the police. Yashpal then immediately dialed the emergency helpline 112.
Police Arrest Two Suspects from Haryana
Following the emergence of the security footage, the Shimla police have intensified their investigation. Law enforcement authorities have already arrested two suspects from Haryana. The court has remanded the accused to 7 days of police custody as investigators seek to extract crucial details. The police are now working to identify and apprehend the ultimate mastermind behind this execution.
Anxious Parents and the Family Feud
The brazen murder has triggered widespread panic among local residents. The President of the Housing Board Colony Residents Welfare Association (RWA) highlighted the growing anxiety of parents. Out of approximately 900 students studying at the school, the majority reside within the housing colony or neighboring areas like Bhattakufr and Malyana. Parents are now deeply concerned about the safety and academic future of their children.
The RWA President revealed that there was an active, ongoing conflict between Manisha Mittal and her younger brother, who currently serves as the Chairman of the school's management board. The long-standing property dispute had previously drawn the attention of local authorities, with police personnel and revenue officers, including a local Tehsildar, visiting the school last year. The dispute eventually escalated to the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
