A Perilous Rescue Mission Beyond the Boundary of Portland
At the center of Wildwood stands Prue McKeel, a determined young Portlander voiced by Peyton Elizabeth Lee, whose ordinary life shatters when a murder of crows abducts her infant brother. Refusing to leave him behind, Prue sets off on an urgent rescue quest that leads her directly into the Impassable Wilderness, an enchanted yet hazardous forest concealed just outside Portland, Oregon. She is not entirely alone on the journey, as her loyal though slightly hapless classmate Curtis Mehlberg, voiced by Jacob Tremblay, tags along to assist her. Together, the two teenagers step into an unfamiliar world teeming with articulate talking beasts, wandering bandits, and powerful factions wrestling over the territory's destiny.
