The action-packed feature will be directed by Nimród Antal, known for his work on Predators. The screenplay has been crafted by the writing trio of David Frigerio, William Eubank, and Carlisle Eubank. The Suspense-Filled Plot of Bluefly Set in the Congo Jungle
Set against the backdrop of the dense and perilous jungles of the Congo, Bluefly centers around a grieving UN translator assigned to a highly classified secret mission. The operative is tasked with locating a mysterious crashed aircraft that officially has no paper record or registered existence. What begins as a search and recovery assignment quickly escalates into an intense struggle for survival in hostile territory.
The mission takes a chilling turn when a special operations team navigates through rebel-controlled territory along a river to reach the remote crash site. As the operatives draw closer to the wreckage, they gradually realize that unlocking the dark secret behind the missing plane may be the most dangerous mistake of their lives, setting up a high-stakes narrative driven by fear and suspense.
Production Team and Shooting Schedule
The upcoming feature is being produced by Michael Jefferson of Polite Society and David Frigerio of Broken Open Pictures, alongside Highland Film Group and several other prominent producers. Highland Film Group holds the worldwide sales rights for the film and plans to present the project to prospective buyers at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival. Principal photography is expected to commence later this year on the Gold Coast of Australia.
