Four and a Half Months of Disruption: 18 Trains to Stay Cancelled Every Tuesday and Friday for a Chakradharpur Rail Upgrade

South Eastern Railway has imposed a mega block for development work between Kansbahal and Dharuadihi stations, cancelling 9 pairs, a total of 18 passenger trains, every Tuesday and Friday from July 3 to November 17.

Rail passengers travelling through Jamshedpur are in for a difficult stretch over the next four and a half months. South Eastern Railway has cleared major development work on the up and down lines between Kansbahal and Dharuadihi stations under the Chakradharpur rail division. To strengthen the infrastructure along this route, the railway is taking a mega block that will run from July 3 right through to November 17.

According to the official railway order, the work will continue for roughly four and a half months. Because of it, 9 pairs of trains, a total of 18 passenger services that run along this route, will be cancelled every Friday and Tuesday. In addition, two trains will be short terminated, that is partially cancelled, while two others will be run on a diverted route.
