Smartphone manufacturer Vivo has officially expanded its portfolio with the launch of the Vivo Y32 5G in Nepal. Arriving as a direct successor to the earlier Vivo Y32 4G, the newly introduced device brings modern 5G connectivity to the series alongside substantial hardware upgrades. The standout highlight of the smartphone is its massive 8,000mAh battery pack, accompanied by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and rugged durability ratings. At present, the brand has not shared any official details regarding the device's potential launch schedule or pricing structure for the Indian market.
Pricing, Variants, and Color Choices
In the Nepalese market, the smartphone has been introduced in two distinct color finishes, namely Sunset Orange and Twilight Red. Consumers can choose from three different memory and storage configurations. The entry-level model featuring 4GB RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage is priced at NPR 39,999, which converts to approximately ₹25,000. Stepping up to the mid-tier configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage requires NPR 45,999, translating to around ₹28,600. The top-of-the-line variant offering 6GB RAM alongside 256GB onboard storage retails at NPR 52,999, roughly equivalent to ₹33,000.
Display Specifications and Core Performance
On the front, the Vivo Y32 5G sports a spacious 6.87-inch LCD panel that renders images at a resolution of 1592 × 720 pixels. The display delivers fluid scrolling through a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 1,300 nits of peak brightness for outdoor legibility. For reduced eye strain during extended use, the screen holds a TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification. Under the hood, processing tasks are handled by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset built on an efficient 4nm fabrication process. Memory handling is backed by up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB utilizing a dedicated microSD card slot. The device boots OriginOS 6 layered over Android 16 right out of the box, though long-term software upgrade plans remain undisclosed.
Battery Capacity and Fast Charging Details
Longevity is the central pillar of the device, courtesy of an exceptionally large 8,000mAh battery cell. To replenish the high-capacity power bank, the device supports 44W wired fast charging, alongside a 7.5W reverse wired charging feature that enables the handset to function as a power bank for smaller electronic accessories. According to manufacturer claims, the battery structure is engineered for durability, capable of retaining more than 80 percent of its effective health even after completing 1,500 complete charge cycles.
Camera Optics and Rugged Durability Standards
For capturing photos and video, the handset carries a dual rear imaging array anchored by a 50MP primary camera sensor, supplemented by a 2MP auxiliary unit. Selfies and video meetings are facilitated by an 8MP front-facing lens housed on the display. Durability remains a significant focal point, with the smartphone earning both IP68 and IP69 ratings against particulate ingress and high-pressure liquid exposure. The phone has also achieved MIL-STD-810H military-standard structural integrity compliance and SGS 5-star drop-resistance certification. Completing the feature suite are dual stereo speakers, NFC functionality, and a responsive side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security.
