Hyderabad has broadened its urban leisure offerings with a fresh technological attraction designed for family outings and tech enthusiasts. In the Kukatpally neighborhood, the country's inaugural 360-degree reality dome has commenced operations, introducing visitors to an all-encompassing visual display that departs significantly from regular screening formats. The venue serves as an experiential hub for people seeking weekend recreation beyond conventional shopping centers and movie theaters.
Prime Location Opposite Malaysian Township
The immersive installation forms the primary centerpiece of the ongoing Fun Fair Expo, situated directly opposite Malaysian Township and adjacent to Nexus Mall in the KPHB vicinity. Designed as an integrated entertainment hub, the expo combines interactive visual engineering, classic carnival amusements, retail kiosks, and diverse food options in a single outdoor zone. The reality dome itself sets a new benchmark for public projection venues in the country. Instead of projecting imagery onto a flat surface ahead of the viewer, the curved dome envelopes visitors from all angles, creating a deep sense of spatial presence in virtual landscapes.
Animatronic Insects, Dinosaurs, and Interactive Booths
A major focus of the exhibition is geared toward young learners and children through realistic robotics. The grounds feature moving robotic models of prehistoric dinosaurs, oversized insects, and fluttering mechanical butterflies that replicate lifelike movements. These kinetic exhibits offer an entertaining glimpse into paleontology and biology in an approachable format. Complementing the animatronics are dedicated butterfly-themed artistic installations and curated photo booths, giving visitors varied backdrops to capture pictures throughout their visit.
Fairground Rides, Culinary Stalls, and Ticketing Guidelines
Beyond the tech-driven dome, the expo provides classic fairground festivities. A towering Ferris wheel stands at the center of the outdoor grounds, offering elevated views of the entire surrounding cityscape. An assortment of open-air rides, skill games, commercial stalls, and street food counters cater to both adults and younger attendees looking for traditional fair fare.
Entry fees have been structured according to the day of the week. Visitors attending between Monday and Friday pay a standard admission fee of 150 rupees per person. On weekends, spanning Saturday and Sunday, the ticket price increases to 200 rupees per individual. The organizers have implemented a clear age-based ticketing policy, allowing free admission for toddlers up to the age of 3 years, while full tickets remain mandatory for any visitor older than 3 years.
