Santar Road Bazaar is considered Dholpur's main market. It has the highest concentration of readymade clothing shops in the city, selling everything from clothes priced at just 100 rupees to pieces worth several thousand rupees. Readymade wear for men, women and children is all available here. Because it sits right next to the bus stand, the market is almost always crowded with customers. People arriving from nearby villages tend to head straight here after getting off the bus, which keeps footfall high through the day.
Lal Bazaar: the address for sarees and bridal wear
Lal Bazaar is an old and historic market known chiefly for women's sarees. Prices here start at 200 rupees for simple sarees and go up to several thousand rupees for heavier, more elaborate pieces. Choodi Bazaar: a 40 year old tradition in bangles
Dholpur's Choodi Bazaar, the bangle market, is roughly 40 years old and has become part of the city's identity. It stocks bangles made of lac, glass, metal, brass and shell. Prices range from as low as 20 rupees to nearly 2,000 rupees for premium pieces. Festivals like Karva Chauth bring huge crowds of women to this market. The book market: a favourite among students
The book market located near Maharana Senior Secondary School is especially popular among students. It stocks books for competitive exams including UPSC, RAS, SSC, Railways, Police recruitment, teacher recruitment exams and Fourth Grade exams. School textbooks and stationery for younger children are also available here. As a result, the market sees a steady stream of students throughout the year, exam season or not.
