A shocking incident has gripped Gwalior as the lifeless body of a 17-year-old girl was found in the Cancer Pahadiya locality. The victim, who resided in the Kampoo area, bore noticeable injury marks around her neck, raising strong suspicions surrounding her death. She worked as an employee at a clothing store located in Naya Bazar and had left for work on Sunday morning as per her daily routine, but failed to return home by nightfall.
Last Phone Call Before Disappearance
According to her family, the teenager spoke to her mother over the phone at approximately 9:05 PM on Sunday night. During the conversation, she assured her mother that she would reach home shortly. However, merely ten minutes after that call, her mobile phone was switched off. When she did not return home late into the night, her family members launched a frantic search and formally lodged a complaint at the Kampoo police station.
Body Discovered at Cancer Pahadiya and Police Investigation
Early in the morning, local residents spotted a body in the Cancer Pahadiya region and promptly alerted the Kampoo police. Upon arriving at the scene, the police and a forensic team conducted a thorough inspection of the area. The victim's body was subsequently shifted to Jayrogya Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Family members have expressed deep apprehension, suspecting murder behind the mysterious tragedy.
Engagement and Personal Connections Under Scrutiny
Police officials revealed that the teenager's engagement had already taken place with a young man from Morena, while she was also in contact with another youth from Gwalior. Authorities stated that the exact cause of death will become clear only after the post-mortem report is received, following which further action will be initiated based on formal statements and findings.
