A devastating road accident occurred late Friday night in the Nowgong area of Chhatarpur district in Madhya Pradesh, transforming a joyous wedding celebration into a scene of immense grief. A pickup truck packed with wedding guests lost control and overturned by the roadside near Bapu Degree College. The sudden crash triggered panic and chaos among the passengers, leading to loud cries for help. This tragic incident resulted in the loss of two lives, while fifteen other individuals sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Overturning of the Wedding Passenger Vehicle
According to the details of the incident, the pickup vehicle was transporting a wedding party from Bamori and was heading towards the Attarra region of Banda district. As the vehicle neared Bapu Degree College in Nowgong, the driver reportedly lost control over the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to veer off and capsize. A total of seventeen passengers were traveling in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Following the crash, two passengers died on the spot. Recognizing the critical condition of four of the injured passengers, medical staff referred them to Jhansi Medical College for advanced medical treatment after administering initial first aid. The remaining eleven injured individuals are currently undergoing treatment at the Nowgong Community Health Center, where doctors are monitoring their recovery.
