In the Kalyan area, a woman brutally murdered her boyfriend and then executed a chilling plot to destroy the evidence, leaving the local residents and police authorities completely stunned. After committing the murder, the accused girlfriend stuffed the dead body into a sack and left it under a running tap in the bathroom for 24 hours to accelerate the decomposition process. Following this horrific act, she managed to flee the state without leaving any immediate traces behind. This sensational crime has created an atmosphere of fear in the neighborhood, and law enforcement agencies have launched a massive manhunt to track down the fugitive woman.
Foul Smell and Police Forced to Break In
The horrifying incident took place at the Neelkanth Society, located on Malang Road near Kakacha Dhaba in the Kalyan area of Thane. According to the preliminary information provided by the police, a highly unbearable and pungent foul smell had been emanating from a locked flat in the residential society for the past two to three days. Disturbed by the persistent stench, the neighboring residents grew increasingly suspicious that something terrible had happened inside. Realizing the gravity of the situation, the locals immediately informed the Manpada police. When a police team arrived at the Neelkanth Society to investigate the complaint, they found the main door of the flat locked from the outside. With no response from within, the authorities broke open the door to gain entry into the house.

As they searched the rooms and followed the source of the foul smell towards the bathroom, they encountered a terrifying sight. A suspicious sack was lying on the bathroom floor, emanating a severe stench. When the police carefully opened the sack, they discovered the highly decomposed body of a man inside. Preliminary forensic investigations revealed that the victim had been brutally murdered with a severe blow to the head using a sharp weapon. It became evident that after this merciless killing, the accused woman had hatched a cold-blooded plan to dispose of the body and completely destroy all forensic evidence connecting her to the crime.
A Calculated Plot to Destroy Evidence

After stuffing her partner's dead body into the sack, the woman placed it in the bathroom and deliberately left the water tap running. After brutally murdering her boyfriend and setting up the calculated water trap to rot his remains, the accused woman easily escaped from the crime scene. Police investigations have revealed so far that she fled from Maharashtra and traveled straight to Kolkata in West Bengal. However, the most bizarre and shocking aspect of this entire episode was an audacious step she took after escaping. Upon reaching Kolkata, the accused woman sent a fearless voicemail to the landlord of her rented flat. In this chilling audio message, she stated without any hesitation or remorse, "The flat's bathroom tap is running and a dead body is kept there."
Medical Examination and Echoes of the Washim Murder
As soon as the landlord heard this terrifying voicemail from his tenant, he was left completely shell-shocked. Deeply traumatized by the revelation, he immediately contacted the Manpada police without any delay. Following this, the police arrived at the scene once again to assess the situation and gather crucial evidence with the help of a forensic team. The highly decomposed body was then sent to a government hospital for a thorough post-mortem and medical examination. The Manpada police station has officially registered a murder case in this regard and formed multiple teams to apprehend the accused woman.
Notably, this is not the first such horrific incident to rock Maharashtra in recent times. Prior to this, a similarly spine-chilling murder case had emerged from the Washim district of the state. In that incident, a husband had brutally murdered his wife in cold blood. After killing her, the accused husband drove around the city streets for hours with her dead body kept inside his car, before eventually driving to a police station and surrendering himself.
