Growth Drivers, Product Launches, and Margin Target
Geojit Investments outlined several key factors underpinning its positive stance on Tata Consumer Products. During the June quarter, the company introduced 14 new products, demonstrating a sharp focus on building a robust innovation pipeline centered on health and wellness, convenience, and premium product categories. Furthermore, management remains committed to enhancing operational efficiencies and driving integration within newly acquired business entities. For FY27, company management has retained its guidance of expanding EBITDA margins by 50 to 70 basis points (bps). This margin improvement is expected to be fueled by strategic price calibrations, operating leverage gains, and continuous productivity improvement efforts across manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Accelerated Growth in Acquired Entities and Commodity Cost Dynamics
The company's recently acquired portfolio businesses demonstrated exceptional growth momentum in Q1FY27. Capital Foods registered a staggering 40% growth rate during the quarter, while Organic India achieved a robust 27% surge in revenues. Management reaffirmed its medium-term growth target of 25% to 30% for the combined Capital Foods and Organic India portfolio. On the input cost front, raw tea inflation is currently running at 7% to 10%. Geojit noted that if tea price inflation remains persistent, Tata Consumer plans to implement judicious, calibrated price increases to safeguard its operating margins without impacting sales volumes.
