Pondy Oxides Chemicals shares traded on a lower note during Monday's intraday session as the diversified metals company announced a revision to its final dividend payout for the financial year. The downward movement in the share price followed updates regarding the adjustment of corporate payouts.
Details of the Dividend Revision
Earlier in May, the company's board of directors had approved a final dividend of Rs 5 per equity share carrying a face value of Rs 5 each. However, following a proportionality adjustment resulting from the sub-division of equity shares from Rs 5 each to Rs 2 each, the board revised the dividend amount in a recent meeting to Rs 2 per equity share with a face value of Rs 2 each.
According to a regulatory filing released on Friday, the rate of the dividend continues to remain at 100 percent of the face value of the equity shares, while the absolute payout per share stands adjusted from Rs 5 to Rs 2 due to the share sub-division.
