She stated that such tactics are deployed to unfairly manipulate and influence the electoral process. This statement by the former Chief Minister is being viewed in the context of a recent announcement by the Samajwadi Party, which promised to directly transfer 40,000 rupees annually into the bank accounts of poor and underprivileged women, alongside providing free laptops, bicycles, and mobile phones.
Review of Candidate Selection and Party Preparations
In a related development, Mayawati chaired an important meeting with senior party office-bearers, including divisional incharges and district presidents from all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The meeting involved a detailed review of the progress regarding the selection of party candidates and preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. The Bahujan Samaj Party supremo instructed party workers to make the public aware of the open deceptions and betrayals by rival political factions, ensuring that voters can exercise their franchise in a free and fair manner without any external influence.
Addressing Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha Youth Struggles
Commenting on the younger demographic, Mayawati noted that following elections in various states, ruling administrations continually fail to deliver on their promises, indulging in betrayals and showing a lack of responsibility toward public welfare. Alongside the ongoing struggles of the Bahujan Samaj Party, she pointed out that the youth belonging to the 'Gen-Z' and 'Gen-Alpha' generations are also compelled to raise their voices against such anti-public attitudes and actions. Consequently, these young individuals are facing police cases and other forms of government suppression.

Directly targeting the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government, she asserted that the people of Uttar Pradesh are deeply distressed by soaring inflation, poverty, widespread unemployment, and forced migration, while official announcements and packages prove to be completely inadequate for the public. Furthermore, the former Chief Minister issued strict directives to successfully and diligently execute the main commemorative event scheduled for October 09 at the 'Manwar Shri Kanshiram Ji Smarak Sthal' in Lucknow on the death anniversary of party founder Kanshi Ram.
Concern Over Nepal Floods and Local Conditions in Uttar Pradesh
Expressing profound grief over the massive loss of life and property caused by devastating floods in neighboring Nepal, Mayawati also addressed the rising flood concerns within Uttar Pradesh. She appealed to both the central and state governments to immediately step forward and extend all possible assistance to the affected populace, warning that failure to do so would make the lives of people in the Purvanchal region even more arduous. Earlier, Mayawati had officially announced that the Bahujan Samaj Party would contest the Punjab assembly elections independently without forming any alliances.
