A violent clash fueled by personal rivalry and romantic discord claimed the life of a 27-year-old gangster in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon in the Sunderban area of Narendra Nagar, creating panic among local residents. The deceased has been identified as Gourav Pankaj Ragde alias 'Gamchu', who had been released on bail from prison just two weeks prior. Law enforcement officials have registered a murder case against his acquaintance and fellow gangster Gourav Rambhau Raut, alongside associate Abhishek Vasnik, and subsequently arrested the primary suspect.
Criminal Background and Complex Relationship History
According to police investigations, deceased Gourav Ragde maintained an extensive criminal track record, facing charges in approximately nine serious offenses, including the high-profile 'Gamchu' murder case. Prior to his incarceration, Ragde was in a relationship with a woman named Rani. However, while Ragde remained locked up in prison, another gangster named Gourav Rambhau Raut came into contact with Rani. Raut, who was also facing multiple murder charges, expressed a desire to renounce the underworld and start afresh.
Escalation at the Narendra Nagar Residence
Seeking a distance from criminal activity, Rani partnered with Raut to open a cloud kitchen service in Narendra Nagar, where they began cohabiting in a rented home. Their attempts at building a peaceful routine were shattered when Ragde secured bail two weeks ago and actively began searching for Rani. On Thursday afternoon, while Rani, Raut, and several friends were present inside the residence, Ragde tracked down the location and arrived armed with a knife.
Finding the front door locked, an enraged Ragde created a loud disturbance outside, demanding that Rani return to him. When his demands went unheeded, he resorted to hurling stones at the house, shouting profanities, and vandalizing property outside. Recognizing the immediate danger, Raut and his companion Vasnik attempted to slip out through the rear door. However, Ragde spotted them during their escape attempt and gave chase with the knife in hand.

The pursuit reached a climax near the culvert adjacent to the Sunderban nala, where Ragde managed to intercept Raut and Vasnik. A physical struggle ensued between the men, causing Ragde to lose his footing and fall to the ground. Capitalizing on the moment during the scuffle, Raut and Vasnik managed to disarm Ragde by snatching the weapon from his grip.
The situation turned lethal as the duo repeatedly stabbed Ragde using the same knife. Suffering multiple severe stab wounds, Ragde collapsed at the spot, drenched in blood. Seeing him immobilized, both attackers fled the scene. Alarmed by the brutal violent confrontation, neighborhood bystanders immediately began shouting for assistance.
