According to local historical observer Lav Joshi, the property underwent a significant renovation in 1961 to transform it into a functional commercial hotel. Established by Hanskumar Capreen, the initiative turned the former military residence into one of Khandwa's earliest fully equipped hospitality establishments. Lav Joshi notes that hospitality options offering comparable space and amenities were extremely rare in Khandwa during the 1960s, which helped the renovated property quickly establish itself as a prominent landmark in the town. To this day, the building remains under private ownership.

While modern maintenance and functional upgrades have altered parts of the interior layout over the decades, the defining architectural character of the colonial era remains clearly visible. The property features multiple guest rooms alongside a spacious outer garden. The space that once hosted foreign colonial administrators is now frequently utilized by local residents for personal celebrations, including weddings, engagement ceremonies, and birthday functions.
