Expanding the country's railway network further, a brand-new train service is set to launch soon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off a special new train on October 30, which is considered remarkable in several aspects. Operating three days a week, this train will cover a massive single-trip distance of 2,532 kilometers. The newly announced Barauni-Bhuj Amrit Bharat Express will run from Bhuj in Gujarat all the way to Barauni in Bihar. With the launch of this service, travel between these regions will become significantly smoother for passengers. The Ministry of Railways had granted its formal approval for operating this train back on September 25, and it is now scheduled for an official inaugural flag-off.
Route and States Covered
The Barauni-Bhuj Amrit Bharat Express will originate from Bihar, traverse through Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, and finally reach Gujarat. By cutting across four states, the train connects major regions along its path. According to the railway schedule, the train will depart from Bhuj every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. In the opposite direction, it will leave Barauni on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The scheduled departure time from Barauni is set for 11:55 PM, and it is slated to arrive in Bhuj at 1:15 PM in the afternoon.
Travel Duration and Total Distance
Covering the entire stretch between Barauni and Bhuj will be an extensive journey. The train will take approximately 61 hours and 20 minutes to complete a single-side trip covering 2,532 kilometers. In practical terms, it will take about two and a half days to finish the entire route. This direct connectivity is expected to provide substantial relief to migrant workers, traders, and regular commuters traveling between northern and western India, particularly benefiting passengers across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
