Traveling to the renowned Mallanna Swami Temple in Telangana's Siddipet district has become significantly easier and far more economical with the launch of the new Komuravelli Punya Kshetram Railway Station. Located barely 3 km from the sacred shrine, the station provides direct rail access for pilgrims coming from Secunderabad and Siddipet. Earlier, visitors were forced to rely on buses or private transportation along the 85-kilometer stretch from Secunderabad, but they can now complete the journey in comfort for modest fares ranging between Rs 10 and Rs 25.
Official Inauguration and Route Overview
The station has been developed by South Central Railway (SCR) along the new Manoharabad-Siddipet-Kothapalli rail line, positioned strategically between Lakhdaram and Duddeda stations. It was officially inaugurated on July 26, 2026, in the presence of Union Ministers and local public representatives. The event also marked the launch of regular DEMU passenger train services operating between Siddipet and Secunderabad. Given that the station is located just 3 kilometers from the temple, reaching the pilgrimage site after getting off the train takes only a few minutes.
Modern Infrastructure and Amenities
Built at an estimated cost of Rs 5.63 crore to Rs 6 crore, the Komuravelli Railway Station features well-planned infrastructure aimed at accommodating large crowds. The facility includes a high-level platform measuring 450 meters in length and 10 meters in width, covered with a protective platform shelter. Passengers can access a tastefully designed waiting room, modern ticketing counters, clean drinking water facilities, and well-maintained restrooms. A spacious parking area has also been established to handle vehicular traffic efficiently. Notably, the architecture of the station building reflects the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the region.
