A 29-year-old woman from Visakhapatnam, identified as Sharon Nikhita Topno, died under suspicious circumstances inside a hotel room in the Madhapur area of Hyderabad. She had checked into the property in Siddiq Nagar on Monday afternoon along with a male companion. By Tuesday morning, the stay ended in tragedy as her body bore multiple severe facial wounds, while an empty bottle of liquor was recovered from the premises by investigators.
Timeline Inside Room 304 and Hospital Abandonment
Police inquiries reveal that the woman's friend, Srinivas Ravi Teja, brought her to room number 304 on Monday afternoon. Both remained inside the room overnight. On Tuesday morning, Ravi Teja alerted the hotel staff claiming that Sharon had collapsed and fallen unconscious. With the assistance of the hotel employees, she was rushed to a private hospital located in Kothaguda. Medical staff at the facility examined her and formally declared her dead on arrival. Immediately following the confirmation of her death, Ravi Teja slipped away from the hospital and turned off his mobile device.
Forensic Examination and Murder Investigation
Officers from the Madhapur police station along with the Clues forensic team reached the scene to inspect the room and collect evidence. Officials noted both minor and severe injury marks across the victim's face, alongside the empty alcohol container left behind. Law enforcement authorities stated that the exact physiological cause behind the demise will be determined only after receiving the post-mortem examination findings.
Special Teams Deployed to Trace Absconding Companion
A notable complication in the probe is that neither the victim's family nor the investigating officers possess clear details regarding Sharon's specific residence or occupation within Hyderabad. Following a formal complaint lodged by another friend of the deceased, the police registered a case of murder under Section 103 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Dedicated operational units have been formed to track down the absconding suspect, Srinivas Ravi Teja.
