Narendra Modi has shared a message on the social media platform X, saying the real strength behind a country's progress lies in the collective dedication and effort of its people. According to him, a nation's prosperity stays intact and keeps growing only when society works together with a spirit of hard work.
What the post said
In his post, Narendra Modi wrote that the prosperity of a nation remains unbroken through collective dedication and effort. He added that this very spirit gives society fresh energy and paves the way to carry the resolutions of development through to completion. The core idea of the message is that policies and plans succeed only when every section of society pitches in with responsibility.
A Sanskrit verse to drive home the point
To give his thought more depth, he also shared a Sanskrit verse, which reads:
Yatrotsaha-samarambho yatralasya-vihinata. Naya-vikrama-samyogas tatra shrir-achala dhruvam.
The essence of the verse is that where work begins with enthusiasm, where there is no room for laziness, and where sound policy meets valour, prosperity stays firm and assured. The message sought to underline that steady effort, at both the individual and social level, is the true key.
Public reaction
The post drew mixed responses. Some agreed with the sentiment, saying nation-building comes not from policies alone but from the collective willpower of citizens. Others pushed back, arguing that prosperity is measured by ordinary people's wellbeing rather than by verses, and demanded concrete action on issues like unemployment, paper leaks and inflation while stressing accountability.
