Weekend Shootings and Casualties
During the recent weekend alone, 41 individuals were shot in Chicago, resulting in 3 fatalities. These tragic numbers are increasingly becoming normalized within the city, creating an environment where no one should be forced to live under such constant threat.
The Call for Federal Assistance
According to Donald Trump, the city can only be saved from imminent decline if the Federal Government steps in to help, provided an invitation is extended by the Mayor or the Governor. He stated that he is currently awaiting a call to deploy federal resources, pointing to the success achieved in Washington D.C. and other regions where crime was drastically reduced in a short span of time.

Asserting that the local state and city administrations lack the capability to handle the crisis effectively, the former president directly urged Governor J.B. Pritzker to make the call for federal support.
