Born on July 20, 1975, Nishant Kumar is the only child of JD(U) National President Nitish Kumar and the late Manju Sinha. Having tragically lost his mother in 2007, the fifty-one-year-old remains unmarried and is widely recognized across the state for his calm, composed, and incredibly unassuming demeanor. Much like his father, he exhibited an early and strong inclination toward technical education. He successfully completed his primary schooling at the well-known St. Karen's School in Patna before heading to the prestigious Manav Bharti International School in Mussoorie for his further studies. Driven by his deep interest in technology, he then enrolled at the renowned Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where he earned a degree in software engineering and proved his technical mettle.
