The Bharatiya Janata Party has strongly condemned the opposition's approach towards the ongoing educational controversies in India. Speaking in Sonipat, Haryana BJP State President Dr Archana Gupta delivered a sharp critique of the Congress party and its senior leader Rahul Gandhi. She accused the INDI alliance of intentionally avoiding a constructive dialogue on the sensitive issue of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and recent paper leak scandals. According to the state leadership, the opposition is prioritizing political maneuvering over finding genuine solutions for millions of anxious students across the country.
Dr Gupta pointed out that the central administration, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is fully prepared to engage in comprehensive discussions regarding all examination-related matters. She emphasized that the ruling party is willing to debate the issues under any parliamentary rule. However, she alleged that opposition leaders are deliberately disrupting parliamentary proceedings to manufacture a narrative of chaos. The BJP leader challenged Rahul Gandhi directly, stating that if the Congress party possesses any concrete, actionable suggestions to improve the examination system, they should present them formally on the floor of the House rather than creating a ruckus outside.
Fast Track Courts Mandated For Immediate Justice
Reaffirming the central government's commitment to protecting the future of the youth, the Haryana BJP chief assured that no individual involved in compromising the examination process will escape justice. In a major policy shift to address the growing concerns of parents and students, the administration has authorized the establishment of dedicated fast track courts. These specialized legal channels are designed to ensure swift and severe punishment for the perpetrators of paper leaks. Strict operational directives have already been issued to the relevant investigative departments to expedite these high-profile cases.
Furthermore, Dr Gupta highlighted the ongoing Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probes as proof of the government's strict stance against corruption. She noted that these rigorous investigations are ensuring that future examinations are conducted with absolute transparency. According to her statement, the decisive actions taken by the administration have instilled confidence among honest, hard-working students who have successfully cleared their exams, reassuring them that their merit will not be undermined by systemic flaws.
Contrasting Educational Track Records
Taking the offensive, the state president drew a sharp contrast between the current administration's handling of educational integrity and the track record of previous governments. She reminded the public that the era of Congress governance also witnessed numerous instances of question paper leaks. However, she claimed that the administration at that time failed to implement any stringent measures to deter such crimes. In contrast, the current regime has enacted tough legislation and executed immediate arrests to secure the examination infrastructure and restore public trust.
Shifting the focus to broader educational development, Dr Gupta presented a comparative report card of financial allocations. She stated that during the tenure of the Congress party, the national education budget was limited to a mere ₹8,225 crore. Highlighting a massive paradigm shift, she pointed out that the current government has expanded this allocation to a historic high of over ₹1.49 lakh crore. This unprecedented financial backing has reportedly driven a massive expansion in India's educational infrastructure, leading to a record number of new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), medical colleges, state universities, and available medical seats nationwide.
The public address in Sonipat was attended by a large gathering of senior political figures and local representatives who gathered to show solidarity with the state president's message. Prominent attendees included BJP district president Ashok Bhardwaj, Sonipat district in-charge Satish Nandal, and Sonipat Municipal Corporation Mayor Rajiv Jain. Also present were district general secretaries Neeraj Kumar and Ajay Kumar, state spokesperson Rajkumar Kataria, Ganaur candidate Devender Kaushik, and district media in-charge Dinesh Attri. The Mahila Morcha was strongly represented by district president Monika Dahiya, alongside Babita Dahiya, Pooja Jangra, Azad Nehra, Deepak Mangla, and Naveen Mangla, all demonstrating unified support for the government's educational reforms.
