Jan Suraaj Party chief Prashant Kishor held a lengthy closed-door meeting lasting nearly 6 hours with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sunetra Pawar and Parth Pawar. Congress Questions Prashant Kishor's Stance
Following the news of the meeting, the Congress party launched a sharp attack against Prashant Kishor. Congress national spokesperson Atul Londhe heavily criticized the Jan Suraaj Party chief, pointing out a glaring contradiction in his political actions. Londhe highlighted that while Prashant Kishor positions himself in active politics as an opponent of the BJP, reports simultaneously suggest he is acting as a political strategist for the Ajit Pawar led NCP, an ally of the BJP in Maharashtra.
Londhe noted that Prashant Kishor had previously made public declarations claiming he had quit the role of an election consultant to pursue full-time active politics. Given those assertions, his involvement in shaping political strategies for a BJP partner raises serious doubts about the authenticity of his claims.
Allegations of Double Standards
Critiquing Prashant Kishor's dual approach, the Congress spokesperson questioned his actual political orientation and objective. Londhe asked what Prashant Kishor's true political identity is when he engages in anti-BJP political rhetoric on one platform while offering electoral consulting to a key BJP ally on another.
Calling the approach hypocritical, the Congress leader emphasized that such conflicting actions damage political credibility. Delivering a scathing remark on the situation, Atul Londhe stated, "Opposition in politics, cooperation in earning." Congress maintained that such dual stances expose the gap between public claims and actual political consulting practice.
