Recently, following directives from the Union Home Ministry, new regulations regarding designated protest venues were implemented in Delhi. After restrictions were imposed on demonstrations at Jantar Mantar, Ramlila Maidan was added to the newly designated venues where political gatherings are permitted.

Detailing the administrative process, Central District DCP Rohit Rajbir Singh stated that Ramlila Maidan, CBD Ground, and Burari Ground have been designated as official venues for protests and public gatherings. To initiate the planning, Congress representatives first contacted the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to check venue availability. The civic body confirmed that the grounds would remain available from October 25 to November 3. Armed with this availability certificate, party representatives then approached the Delhi Police to seek further clearance.
NOC issued following strict security assessments
During a meeting between police officials and Congress delegates, all security requirements and logistical parameters were thoroughly reviewed. The DCP noted that after thoroughly examining every aspect and ensuring complete satisfaction regarding safety arrangements, the police department decided to issue the no-objection certificate.

With the police clearance now secured, the Congress party will submit the certificate back to the land-owning agency, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
