A grand and massive tribal festival was organized to mark World Tribal Day at Nangal Pyariwas in Dausa district. The event witnessed vibrant cultural performances put together by artists who arrived from various states. A massive crowd gathered at the venue, with attendees claiming an estimated turnout of over one lakh people. Cabinet minister Kirodi Lal Meena graced the occasion as the chief guest, accompanied by Dausa MP Murari Lal Meena along with several other MLAs who were also present to address the gathering.
Focus on Moral Education and Community Reform
While addressing the large audience, cabinet minister Kirodi Lal Meena strongly emphasized community reform and pointed out that society is currently witnessing a moral decline, making moral education essential. He urged the youth and elders alike to stay away from intoxicants, prioritize education, build strong character, and maintain discipline in life. During his address, he announced that the Meena High Court in Nangal Pyariwas will be developed into an education hub so that children from the community can access quality education.
Anti-Corruption Stance and Political Clashes
Reflecting on his political journey, Kirodi Lal Meena stated that he has been fiercely fighting against corruption since 1980. He shared an incident where he was conducting raids on fertilizer and seed shops and discovered that even an acquaintance of his was involved in corrupt practices, prompting him to have the person arrested by the ACB. Despite this, leaders like Govind Singh Dotasra and the opposition blamed the minister for the wrongdoing. Lashing out at the opposition, he alleged that during the tenure of Congress, these individuals looted Rajasthan and sold the state out.
Firm Stand on Reservation and Past Resignation
Addressing the sensitive topic of reservation, cabinet minister Kirodi Lal Meena noted that certain elements spread rumors claiming that reservations are under threat or being abolished, and that Narendra Modi will scrap reservations. He firmly declared that as long as he has breath in his body, no harm will ever come to reservation. Recalling past events, he stated that back in 2008 when there was a possibility of tampering with reservations, he resigned from his ministerial post despite being part of the ruling party at the time.
Gujjar-Meena Brotherhood and Future Plans
Speaking on the Pachna Dam issue, minister Kirodi Lal Meena stated that a resolution was reached through mutual dialogue between both the Gujjar and Meena communities. He remarked that the Gujjar community should remember that the Meena society of Dausa district played a foundational role in helping leaders of the Pilot family, including Rajesh Pilot, Rama Pilot, and Sachin Pilot, establish their political roots. He added that while some dream of becoming Chief Minister, that dream cannot be fulfilled without this Ram, though both Gujjar and Meena communities live like brothers. Concluding his address, he announced that next year's tribal festival will be celebrated under the banner of August Kranti, and on that occasion, the consecration ceremonies of the Meen Bhagwan temple, Paplaj Mata temple, and Shiva temple at the Meena High Court in Nangal Pyariwas will be carried out.
