The intense discussions primarily focused on modernising the state's policing methods, ensuring tighter crime control across all districts, and thoroughly evaluating the current security environment of the state.
Massive Recruitment Drive and Departmental Promotions
Following his extensive closed-door briefing with the police hierarchy, the Chief Minister emerged to make several significant policy announcements aimed at revitalising the department. To directly address long-standing manpower shortages and fundamentally fortify the security framework, Dr. Yadav revealed that the state will soon initiate the mass recruitment of 18,000 additional police personnel. Beyond bringing in new recruits, he emphasised his government's deep commitment to boosting the morale of the existing force, noting that timely promotions have already been granted to an impressive 25,000 police personnel to date. Working in close tandem with the Chief Secretary, the Chief Minister assured the public that continuous efforts are underway for the overall betterment of the department, confirming that strict administrative guidelines to streamline daily police functioning have been officially issued today.
Uniform Civil Code and the Abolition of Halala
