In a significant political transition, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has officially taken over the additional charge of the Ministry of Education on July 26, 2026. The change of leadership follows the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, who previously held the portfolio.

Following Dharmendra Pradhan's departure, the responsibility of directing the country's education policies was handed over to Pralhad Joshi.
