Yogi and Both UP Deputy CMs Break Bread With BJP Chief Nitin Naveen, Signalling Poll-Season Unity

BJP national president Nitin Naveen's two day visit to Lucknow has just wrapped up, but one image from the trip is getting the most attention, Nitin Naveen visiting the homes of both Deputy CMs, Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, along with CM Yogi, for a mango party and breakfast. By seating CM Yogi and both Deputy CMs at the same table, Nitin Naveen sent out a clear message that there is no distance within BJP's top leadership ahead of the upcoming UP assembly elections, and that the entire team is ready to fight the polls together.

Mango Party At Brajesh Pathak's Residence

Opposition leader Akhilesh Yadav has often taken jibes at the equation between the two Deputy CMs and CM Yogi, which is why all three leaders sitting down together with the BJP chief carries real political weight. Nitin Naveen himself shared a video on his X handle to share the update. He wrote that during his stay in Lucknow, he got the chance to taste Uttar Pradesh's famous mangoes at Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak's residence. The video shows CM Yogi and both Deputy CMs present alongside Nitin Naveen, so the mango party was not confined to Brajesh Pathak's house alone, the entire top leadership had gathered there.

Breakfast And A Special Welcome At Keshav Prasad Maurya's Home

Nitin Naveen then went with CM Yogi to Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya's residence as well. Nitin Naveen said on his X handle that during his Uttar Pradesh visit, he met Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya at his residence in Lucknow that day. There, Nitin Naveen had breakfast along with CM Yogi. At Keshav Prasad Maurya's house, Nitin Naveen was welcomed with a traditional angvastra and presented with an idol of Lord Buddha. Having the BJP national president visit both Deputy CMs' homes with CM Yogi in the same day is being seen as a rare, carefully planned occasion.

Organisational Meetings And Talks With NDA Allies

During the Lucknow visit, Nitin Naveen did not stop at breakfast with the two Deputy CMs, he also took part in several organisational meetings and met leaders of NDA allied parties. Nitin Naveen also addressed a conference of BJP Shakti Kendra convenors from the Awadh region. Through all these engagements, Nitin Naveen tried to convey that there is strong coordination among NDA leaders and that all parties are fully prepared to contest the upcoming UP assembly elections together.

Why The Visit Matters Politically

Showing unity within BJP's top leadership ahead of the next assembly elections in UP is being seen as crucial for the party. CM Yogi and the two Deputy CMs have long been the subject of various kinds of speculation, so BJP national president Nitin Naveen personally visiting all three leaders' homes and sitting down for breakfast is being read as a direct message to party workers that everything is fine within the organisation and there is no factionalism ahead of the polls.

Akhilesh Yadav Takes A Jibe Without Naming Anyone

While Nitin Naveen tried to project unity by meeting all the top NDA leaders during his Lucknow visit, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe of his own without naming anyone. Akhilesh Yadav posted on his X handle, "Having come for the first time after becoming president, won't you be going for 'darshan'?" Akhilesh Yadav's reference was clearly to the Ram Mandir. The donation theft case at the Ram Mandir has been a nationwide talking point recently, with all kinds of questions being raised over it. Akhilesh Yadav's post is being seen as a dig at the BJP chief's image.
