Miscreants have broken into seven residential properties one after another, making away with large quantities of money and valuable ornaments. The total value of stolen assets, which includes cash as well as precious gold and silver jewelry, is estimated to exceed 40 lakh rupees. Despite the sheer scale and frequency of these crimes, law enforcement authorities have failed to apprehend any suspects, fueling severe resentment among local residents against the local administration.
Targeting Locked Properties of Migrant Families
A substantial number of households originating from Rewatda have relocated elsewhere in search of livelihood. Many residents have set up businesses, secured employment, or established professional ventures across southern India, Mumbai, and other parts of the country. Consequently, their ancestral properties in the village remain vacant and locked behind doors for major stretches of the year. Criminals took calculated advantage of this extended absence. By zeroing in on locked residential premises, they breached windows and forced open entry doors without being detected. Once inside, they broke open almirahs and secure storage units, systematically clearing out all stored wealth.

The uninterrupted chain of burglaries across seven locations has created an atmosphere of panic throughout the rural locality. Families currently stationed in distant metropolitan areas are deeply anxious about the safety of their ancestral residences and remaining belongings. With the cumulative property loss crossing 40 lakh rupees, local villagers point out that the personnel at Sayla police station have not produced a single breakthrough or recovered any stolen articles. The inability of the local police to track down the gang has emboldened the culprits, who continue to evade detection while operating with apparent impunity.
Demands for Stepped-Up Patrolling and Agitation Warnings
Furious at the persistent security failure, villagers alongside affected migrant members have issued a firm warning to the administration. They stated that if law enforcement agencies do not crack the cases and arrest the culprits within an acceptable timeframe, the community will be compelled to launch widespread protests. The residents have formally urged the police department to immediately ramp up daily and nighttime patrolling across Rewatda. They emphasized that specialized monitoring should be directed toward clusters containing locked migrant properties to prevent similar organized intrusions from recurring in the region.
