A massive tide of faith has descended upon the Baba Ramdev Temple located in Jodhpur's Masuria area since early morning on the auspicious occasion of Baba Ki Bij. Long queues of devotees began forming outside the temple premises well before dawn, and the entire Masuria neighborhood echoed with chants dedicated to the deity. Amid special rituals and Vedic chants at the Guru Balinath Ji samadhi temple, a grand Maha Aarti of Baba Ramdev Ji was conducted at 4:15 am using 108 lamps. The temple atmosphere turned deeply devotional during the ritual, with thousands of followers seeking blessings.
Floral Decorations and Pilgrims from Afar
Narendra, associated with the Baba Ramdev Temple Trust, shared that in view of the special occasion of Bij, the temples of Baba Ramdev Ji and his guru Balinath Ji have been decorated with attractive flowers. Since early morning, pilgrims from Rajasthan as well as Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi stood in queues for a glimpse of the deity. Tradition holds that visiting Guru Balinath Ji before Baba Ramdev Ji fulfills devotees' wishes. A large number of people also arrived to witness the unbroken flame that has burned at the Masuria temple for years.
Flag Hoisting at the Temple Spire
Following the Maha Aarti, the sacred flag of Baba Ramdev Ji will be hoisted at the temple spire at 11 am amidst rituals and Vedic chanting. Several prominent citizens and public representatives of the city will be present during the ceremony. Narendra of the temple trust stated that lakhs of devotees are arriving in Jodhpur from across the country for Bij. He added that trust volunteers are constantly on duty to manage facilities and ensure smooth arrangements for the visitors.
Security Measures and Journey Toward Ramdevra
Given the heavy influx of devotees, extensive security arrangements have been put in place across the fairgrounds. Police personnel have been deployed alongside continuous monitoring via CCTV cameras, and special teams are stationed for women's safety. Facilities including barricading, shade, drinking water, and medical aid have been organized for the public. After completing their prayers and the Maha Aarti in Masuria, large batches of pedestrians carrying flags will set off toward Ramdevra, the birthplace of Baba Ramdev. The resonant chants and fluttering banners carried by departing pilgrims have added to the grandeur of the Bij festival.
