Criminal activity continues unabated in the Mandawa police station area of Jhunjhunu district, raising serious questions about local police patrolling. In the Sheopura area of Dhaka ka Bas village, thieves brazenly targeted two inhabited houses in a single night, exposing glaring security lapses. The fearless perpetrators made off with gold and silver jewelry valued at more than fifty lakh rupees, alongside a substantial amount of cash. This major heist has triggered panic throughout the entire region and left locals deeply enraged. The cunning method employed by the culprits involved locking the residents securely inside their own rooms before carrying out the thefts.
Intruders Break Rear Windows in a Calculated Move
The criminals executed the operation using a highly planned approach. Instead of using the main entrances, the intruders broke into both houses through the rear windows. The first incident took place at the home of a villager named Suresh. While Suresh and his entire family were fast asleep in the main hall during the dead of night, the thieves broke the grill of the back window and crept inside. Once they gained entry, the culprits methodically smashed locker locks and gathered valuable gold and silver ornaments. Along with the jewelry, the thieves also made away with 1.75 lakh rupees in cash.
Residents Trapped Inside Rooms From the Outside
The most chilling aspect of the burglary was that the thieves left the family with no escape route. At around 1:30 AM, when Suresh's wife, Balkesh Devi, suddenly woke up, she sensed something was amiss. She attempted to open the door to step out of the hall, but both doors were firmly bolted from the outside. In fact, the thieves had secured the doors from the outside before initiating the robbery. A panicked Balkesh Devi used her phone to alert other relatives about the situation. Relatives rushed to the spot and unlocked the doors from the outside, allowing the family to finally step out.
Another Massive Theft at Naresh Dhaka's Residence
On the very same night, another major burglary took place at the nearby home of Naresh Dhaka in the same village. The perpetrators replicated the exact same modus operandi, breaking through the rear window to enter the house and ransacking the premises. The thieves stole 3.18 lakh rupees in cash and a significant quantity of gold and silver ornaments kept inside the room. At Naresh's house too, the culprits bound the doors from the outside using ropes and latches. The following morning, when family members tried to open the doors, they remained jammed. Neighbors were subsequently called via phone, and with their assistance, the doors were finally forced open.
Police and Forensic Teams Launch Investigation
These simultaneous high-value burglaries in two houses within the same village have sparked immense anger among local residents. Villagers have strongly demanded that the police administration track down the culprits and recover the stolen property as quickly as possible. Upon receiving information about the incident, Mandawa police station personnel rushed to the scene immediately. Officers conducted a thorough inspection of both crime scenes. Additionally, a forensic team was summoned to the location, where they gathered fingerprints and other crucial physical evidence. The police are currently scrutinizing CCTV footage from nearby routes and roads. By gathering information regarding suspicious individuals and vehicles, law enforcement is making intensive efforts to apprehend these cunning thieves soon.
