Mirzapur The Movie has continued its phenomenal run at the box office since its release, setting new benchmarks for audience turnout. The film kicked off its theatrical journey with a powerful opening of ₹25.75 crore, easily surpassing the collections of other notable films like 'Saiyaara' and 'Awarapan 2'.
Box Office Momentum and the 100 Crore Milestone
Featuring a star-studded cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Rasika Dugal, and Shweta Tripathi, the gangster drama made history by crossing the ₹100 crore mark globally in just four days. The film maintained solid momentum through its opening weekend, pulling in ₹32 crore on Saturday and seeing a further jump to ₹36 crore on Sunday. Although collections dipped on Monday with ₹15.50 crore, the overall trajectory remained exceptionally robust.
Domestic Collection and Day 9 Performance
By the end of its first week, the film accumulated a net collection of ₹148.45 crore across India. Entering the second week, it experienced a strong resurgence. Following a collection of ₹9.50 crore on the second Friday, Saturday brought a massive 31.6 percent surge in ticket sales. Fresh estimates indicate that the film earned ₹12.50 crore on its 9th day, pushing its total domestic net collection to ₹170.45 crore.
Global Domination and Upcoming Clashes
The craze for the franchise extends far beyond domestic borders, with overseas markets contributing significantly to its box office success. By the eighth day, the worldwide collection had already crossed ₹225 crore, and with the addition of the ninth-day earnings, the total global collection has surged past ₹245.19 crore. Meanwhile, the film may soon face tough competition from Priyadarshan's upcoming directorial venture featuring Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar.
