Residents of the Falna and Bali regions in Pali district have seen their long-pending demand finally fulfilled as the Railway Ministry cleared the stoppage of two major express trains at the local railway station. This administrative decision comes as a major relief for both pilgrims embarking on spiritual journeys and regular commuters. Travelers heading toward the sacred northern pilgrimage center of Haridwar and the prominent religious hubs in Gujarat will no longer need to travel to larger cities just to board a train.
Which Two Trains Will Stop at Falna
Under the newly approved schedule, the Haridwar-Veraval Express (14326/14325) and the Haridwar-Okha Express (14328/14327) will officially halt at Falna station. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw approved the stoppage following persistent local requests. This development directly benefits passengers across Pali, Sirohi, and surrounding areas, enabling them to board a single train from their local station and travel seamlessly toward Haridwar, Somnath, and Dwarkadhish.
Boosting Religious Tourism and Regional Commerce
The addition of these halts is expected to significantly enhance transportation links for the entire region. Haridwar remains northern India's premier spiritual destination, while Veraval offers direct proximity to the Somnath Jyotirlinga, and Okha provides easy access to the Dwarkadhish temple. Commuters can now complete these journeys without needing to switch trains or travel extensively beforehand. Running through key regional hubs such as Jaipur, Kishangarh, Ajmer, and Falna before connecting to major Gujarati cities, these services will also provide a fresh impetus to commercial movement and trade.
Elected Representatives Welcome the Move
The breakthrough followed sustained efforts by local parliamentary representatives to improve infrastructure in the region. Member of Parliament PP Chaudhary expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for granting the approval. He noted that strengthening passenger amenities and expanding rail connectivity across the Pali parliamentary constituency remains his foremost priority, adding that continuous coordination with the ministry made the decision possible.
Celebrations Among Local Residents and Traders
News of the approved stoppages triggered widespread celebrations among local residents, trade associations, and regular commuters in Falna. Community members emphasized that organizing trips to Haridwar for religious rituals or traveling to the revered temples of Gujarat will no longer require depending on distant railway junctions.
