A tragic road accident in the Raipur area of Rajasthan's Bhilwara district claimed the life of a 54-year-old government teacher on Tuesday morning. Prabhu Singh was commuting to his workplace when a sand-laden tractor-trailer collided heavily with the motorcycle he was riding on the Nathadiyas to Panotiya road, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
Tragic End Before Reaching School
On Tuesday morning, Prabhu Singh had taken a lift on a local shopkeeper's motorcycle to reach his school. While they were on the way, the tractor-trailer carrying sand struck the vehicle, catching him off guard. The impact of the collision was severe, causing the teacher seated on the pillion to suffer fatal injuries instantly. Upon learning about the accident, villagers rushed to the spot in large numbers and expressed their anger against local authorities.
Protests And Road Blockade By Locals
Filled with grief and rage, the gathered villagers staged a protest by blocking the road and raising slogans against the police and administrative officials. They declared that the body would not be removed until concrete assurances were provided regarding their grievances. Local law enforcement eventually intervened, pacified the crowd through prolonged discussions, arranged for the post-mortem examination, and handed the body over to the bereaved family members.
Persistent Danger From Sand Transport
Residents pointed out that the continuous movement of sand-laden tractors through the region creates a constant threat of fatal road accidents. Despite lodging multiple complaints with the administration concerning unauthorized sand transport, no effective enforcement has taken place. This unchecked movement of heavy vehicles continues to endanger commuters, and locals believe that strict monitoring could have prevented such a calamity.
