According to details shared by the victim's family, Dilshan was married to Arbej, a resident of Chirkhana village in Alwar district, on May 11, 2022, following traditional Muslim customs. While the marriage was initially solemnized with standard gifts, the family alleges that the victim's husband and in-laws soon began targeting her for not bringing enough dowry. Relatives stated that her husband Arbej, her mother-in-law, father-in-law, and other family members frequently taunted her and placed continuous pressure on her to bring additional cash and valuables from her parents' house.
Specific Demands for a Bullet Motorcycle and 5 Lakh Cash
The harassment escalated over time as the in-laws put forward specific demands. Relatives revealed that the husband and his family insisted on receiving a Bullet motorcycle and Rs 5 lakh in cash. When these financial and material demands could not be fulfilled, Dilshan was subjected to ongoing physical and mental torture. Family members shared that Dilshan had repeatedly called them over the phone to recount the severe abuse she was enduring at her marital home.
