The surveillance footage recorded around 8:00 PM on Saturday illustrates the exact moment of the collision. As one motorcyclist was executing a rightward turn towards the petrol pump, another fast-moving motorcycle approaching from the left struck it head-on. The force of the crash hurled both riders off their vehicles like ragdolls, sending them airborne before crashing onto the concrete road. The sudden and loud crash triggered immediate panic among nearby commuters, pedestrians, and fuel pump attendants.
Identification of Injured Youths and Sequence of Events
The two individuals involved in the crash have been identified as 20-year-old Hemant, son of Mahipal and resident of Ward Number 27, and 21-year-old Aditya, son of Pramod, residing inside the BITS Pilani campus. At the time of the incident, Hemant was riding back home to Pilani from the Chirawa direction. Meanwhile, Aditya was heading towards the HP petrol pump on his motorcycle to refuel. As their paths crossed near the petrol pump entry, neither rider could avert the high-speed collision.
