Three brothers from Swaroopdesar were riding together
The deceased have been identified as Chandaram, Tolaram and Mahendra Sihag, all residents of Swaroopdesar village. Police said the three were real brothers who were riding home together on a single motorcycle when an unknown vehicle struck them on the highway. The impact was so severe that all three were thrown onto the road and died on the spot. Passersby who witnessed the aftermath immediately alerted the police, and panic spread through the area as people gathered at the accident site.
Gangashahar police reach the spot, bodies sent for postmortem
On receiving information about the accident, a team from Gangashahar police station rushed to the scene and inspected it closely before beginning their investigation. The bodies of all three victims were taken into custody and sent to the mortuary at PBM Hospital in Bikaner. Police then informed the families of the victims, and the news of the accident triggered devastation in the household. Fault yet to be established
Gangashahar station house officer Ganesh Bishnoi said it has not yet been established who was at fault in the accident. Identifying the unknown vehicle and tracking down its driver now remains the biggest challenge before investigators as they try to piece together exactly how the collision happened.
Police scan CCTV footage in search of the vehicle
Police are now going through CCTV camera footage recorded around the accident site, hoping the visuals will help identify the vehicle involved and the person driving it. Investigators believe the footage could provide the crucial lead needed to trace the vehicle that fled after the collision. Meanwhile, after completing the postmortem examination, police have handed over all three bodies to their families. The investigation into the case continues, with police yet to determine exactly how the crash occurred.
