Security arrangements have been significantly tightened across the Ramgarh area of Rajasthan's Alwar district immediately after the announcement of the Panchayati Raj elections. To ensure that the electoral process remains completely peaceful and free from unlawful interference, police personnel took to the streets on Friday evening. The sudden deployment of a heavy security cordon near the railway crossing triggered widespread panic among motorists, with several drivers attempting to take detours through alternate routes to evade scrutiny.
Three-Hour Intensive Security Operation
The specialized inspection drive began at 7:00 PM on Friday and continued for three hours until 10:00 PM. Throughout this window, police teams closely examined every single vehicle traveling along the route. Special focus was placed on two-wheeler riders traveling at high speeds without protective helmets, as well as commuters failing to follow standard road regulations. Officers scrutinized vehicle documents and subjected suspicious travelers to detailed checks to prevent any unauthorized movement.
Over 25 Penalties Issued and Vehicles Impounded
The operational drive was spearheaded directly by Ramgarh Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Parmeshwar Yadav alongside Station House Officer (SHO) Ajit Singh Badsara. Under their supervision, enforcement teams issued spot challans to more than 25 drivers for riding without helmets, missing documentation, and other traffic infractions. Strict action was also initiated against individuals caught driving under the influence of alcohol, while several vehicles flagged as suspicious were seized and shifted to the local police station.
Firm Stance on Electoral Peace and Law Order
During the operation, police leadership instructed motorists to strictly observe traffic protocols and announced zero tolerance for reckless behavior. Authorities conveyed that anyone trying to compromise public order or disrupt community peace during the upcoming panchayat elections would face uncompromising legal repercussions. DSP Parmeshwar Yadav noted that their main priority is maintaining absolute law and order in the region while curbing criminal operations during the election period.
A substantial contingent of police personnel participated in the drive, including Assistant Sub-Inspector Chandrapal Choudhary, Assistant Sub-Inspector Samundar Singh Meena, and Head Constable Babulal. Law enforcement officials indicated that such surprise checkpoints will continue across critical junctions to uphold security and ensure a smooth election process.
