The Marwar International Centre in Jodhpur hosted a major national gathering aimed at strengthening social harmony, expanding organizational structure, and empowering younger generations. Organised by the Akhil Bharatvarshiya Gurjar Gaur Brahmin Mahasabha, the national convention and Yuvaam-II 2026 brought together delegates from across India. National President Omprakash Joshi presided over the event, which saw enthusiastic participation from office bearers, patrons, women leaders, youth representatives, and life members from numerous states.
Vedic Ceremonies and Opening Address
The convention formally commenced at 11:00 AM with the hoisting of the official flag in a solemn atmosphere. Following the flag hoisting, Radheshyam Sharma welcomed the assembled dignitaries and community members. Young Vedic scholars (batuks) welcomed the guest speakers with traditional Vedic chants, after which the ceremonial lamp was lit before the portrait of Maharshi Gautam Bhagwan to mark the beginning of the proceedings.
In his presidential address, National President Omprakash Joshi emphasized that unity remains the core strength of the organization. He highlighted that the Mahasabha is not centered around any individual, but is committed to working collectively for the overall welfare of the community through structured planning and inclusive policies.
Focus on Democratic Growth, Youth, and Women Empowerment
Addressing the assembly on structural expansion, J.M. Joshi, President of the Haridwar Gautam Ashram, stressed the importance of following democratic norms to build a stronger and more effective organization. He urged leaders to launch comprehensive membership drives to connect more families with the institution.
National Women President Maya Rajesh Trivedi called for greater representation of women in social and organizational governance. Other key speakers, including former mayor Rameshwar Dadhich, Mahant Ramprasad, and National Spokesperson Badriprakash Gautam, reinforced the importance of discipline, mutual harmony, and upholding organizational integrity. Meanwhile, Bhawani Paiwal, President of the National Youth Wing, urged young members to take an active role in energizing the community network.
Unanimous Resolution and Strategic Objectives
During the business session, Pradyuman Joshi presented a key resolution before the house, which received unanimous approval from all present members and representatives. The delegates engaged in detailed deliberations regarding future strategic goals, membership expansion, educational advancement, career guidance, and gender inclusion. Key speakers collectively urged members to transcend personal differences and dedicate their efforts toward organizational advancement and social service.
Digital Transformation and Website Launch
A key highlight of the convention was the launch of the Mahasabha's official digital website, marking a step toward modernization. Pradyuman Joshi, General Secretary (Prime Minister) of the Mahasabha, explained that the web platform would streamline essential services, including community census data collection, membership enrollment, matrimonial listings, and employment assistance.
Additionally, Hemendra Jajra, General Secretary of the Haridwar Gautam Ashram, presented an update on developmental projects completed at the ashram site. He announced that online booking facilities for accommodation have been enabled through digital platforms, making services accessible to members nationwide.
Lifetime Achievement Awards and Youth Contributions
To recognize dedicated long-term service, the Mahasabha conferred Lifetime Achievement Awards upon former general secretary Nandkishore Nek, patron Sitaram Joshi, and Shankarlal Raneja of Pali. Their sustained contributions to the community were praised during the ceremony.
The convention witnessed widespread representation from states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Haryana. The success of the Yuvaam-II initiative was largely driven by dedicated youth coordinators, including Kushal Rohiwal, Prakash Raneja, Dr. Ravi Sharma, Tarun Upadhyay, Kishan Sankhi, Ramswaroop Panchariya, and Jitendra Kangla Joshi. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Pradyuman Joshi, while Chief Secretary Lalit Prakash Sankhi conducted the stage proceedings.
