A shocking incident of midnight arson has come to light from the Neemrana subdivision of Kotputli-Behror district in Rajasthan. Unidentified miscreants poured petrol over a WagonR parked right outside a residence in Baba Kundandas ki Dhani, located in Kutina village, and set it on fire. The sudden blaze raging in the quiet hours triggered severe panic throughout the residential neighborhood. Prompt action by local villagers, who rushed out with water and sand, brought the flames under control in time and averted a major tragedy.
Attackers Arrived in White Vehicle to Start Blaze
The sequence of events unfolded late at night while local families were fast asleep inside their homes. The WagonR, owned by local resident Ishwar Singh, was parked outside his house in Baba Kundandas ki Dhani. A white vehicle suddenly pulled up near the residence, and an unidentified young man stepped out. The attacker deliberately poured petrol over the car, ignited it, jumped right back into the waiting white vehicle, and sped away into the darkness.
Barking Dogs Alerted Residents Before Fire Spread
As massive flames erupted from the vehicle, street dogs in the vicinity began barking loudly and aggressively. Disturbed by the sudden commotion, sleeping villagers woke up and looked outside, only to find the car engulfed in leaping flames. Shouts and cries for help immediately broke out across the alley. Villagers quickly grabbed buckets of water and piles of soil, rushing directly toward the burning vehicle and dousing the flames before they could completely destroy the structure.
CNG Cylinder Posed Risk of Catastrophic Blast
According to vehicle owner Ishwar Singh, the locality narrowly escaped a devastating disaster. The car was fitted with a CNG kit, and had the flames reached the pressurized gas cylinder, it could have triggered a violent explosion. Such a blast would have easily ripped through neighboring homes and endangered the lives of families sleeping inside. While quick neighborhood intervention prevented a cylinder detonation, portions of the vehicle sustained notable burn damage.
Security Cameras Recorded Attack, Feud Suspected
The entire criminal act was recorded by a nearby closed-circuit camera. The footage clearly illustrates the sheer brazenness of the intruder, showing him calmly walking up to the vehicle, dousing it in fuel, striking a light, and fleeing in the white getaway car. Police officials have seized the recording and initiated efforts to trace the vehicle registration number and identify the suspect. Investigators suspect that an old rivalry or personal animosity may be the underlying motive behind the arson.

The reckless deployment of petrol in a densely settled pocket has sparked widespread fear and deep anger among local residents.
