A major accident struck Bharatpur on Monday when the concrete slabs of a local shop's roof suddenly collapsed without warning. Three laborers who were sitting inside the shop eating their lunch were trapped beneath the heavy rubble. The incident occurred near the new mandi within the jurisdiction of the Kotwali police station area. Several laborers were engaged in work at a cement store at this location. While taking a break to eat their lunch inside the shop, none of the workers anticipated that the structure above them would suddenly give way. Without any prior warning, the cement slabs supporting the roof fractured and crashed down, burying the three workers underneath the debris.
