A vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge, resulting in the deaths of five people while leaving six others injured. The victims of this tragic crash reportedly include women, men, and children. Emergency response procedures were initiated immediately after the vehicle tumbled down the steep terrain.

Previous similar incident in Poonch
A strikingly similar road mishap occurred last month in the Shealdhar area of Surankote within Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. In that incident, a vehicle went out of control and careened into a deep ravine, causing the on-the-spot deaths of six people, including two women. Three other individuals sustained injuries and were promptly shifted to a hospital, where the condition of a young girl was reported to be critical.

Immediate rescue operations were launched during the Poonch disaster, deploying 108 ambulance services, additional medical transport, and emergency equipment to the site. Poonch Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma confirmed the death toll of six along with three injuries at the time. Additionally, Poonch Chief Medical Officer Dr. Parvez Khan stated that the deceased comprised four men and two women, all aged between 20 and 25 years.
