A tragic incident has come to light from the Jawahar Nagar police station area in the coaching hub of Kota, Rajasthan, where a minor student was found dead inside his hostel accommodation. The discovery of the body on Monday caused widespread shock across the neighborhood. The deceased student, originally hailing from Uttar Pradesh, had been residing in Kota for approximately one year while preparing for the competitive engineering entrance examination, JEE, through an online mode of study.
Hostel Occupants Broke Open The Room Door
The tragedy was discovered on Monday when the student did not open his hostel room door for an extended period. Sensing that something was amiss, other occupants and hostel personnel attempted to knock and get a response from inside the room. After receiving no reply despite repeated calls, they forced open the door to investigate. Upon entering the room, they found the teenager hanging from the frame of the bathroom door.
Police Inspected The Scene And Secured The Body
Local law enforcement authorities were alerted immediately following the discovery. Officers from the Jawahar Nagar police station arrived promptly at the hostel premises to examine the scene and gather preliminary evidence. The police took charge of the deceased and transferred the body to the mortuary of MBS Hospital for necessary legal formalities. DSP Manish Sharma confirmed that the student had been staying in Kota for nearly a year, taking online classes to prepare for the JEE examination.
Autopsy Awaiting Family Arrival From Uttar Pradesh
Authorities have formally notified the student's family members back in Uttar Pradesh about the untimely tragedy. The post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday after the relatives reach Kota. Investigators stated that the exact circumstances and reasons that drove the student to take his own life remain undetermined. The police are continuing their probe into various aspects, including his academic routines, living conditions in the hostel, and surrounding background details to understand what transpired.
