The sacred city of Ayodhya is once again reviving the atmosphere of the Treta Yuga, bringing alive the ancient tradition where every corner resonates with the presence of Lord Ram. Under the current state administration, the Deepotsav celebration has grown into a massive annual spectacle over the past ten years. According to ancient scriptures, when Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya after conquering Lanka, the residents welcomed him by lighting rows of earthen lamps. Recreating that historic homecoming, the tenth edition of the grand Deepotsav has transformed the entire town into a brilliantly illuminated landscape adorned with colorful lights and elaborate decorations.
High-Tech Drone Displays and International Ramlila Performances
Blending cutting-edge technology with traditional heritage, this year's festival introduces remarkable visual spectacles to captivate attendees. A fleet of twenty-one hundred drones will light up the night sky, forming intricate formations that depict key chapters from the life of Lord Ram. Cultural performances will feature troupes from seven different Indian states alongside international participants representing three foreign nations through four distinct teams. Two troupes have traveled from South Africa, while Sri Lanka and Laos have each sent one performing group. Among these, the special presentation titled Raveshwara by the Sri Lankan troupe stands out as a major highlight during the Ramlila enactments hosted at the Ramkatha Park.
VVIP Presence and Comprehensive Security Measures
Adding immense prestige to this monumental celebration, the Vice President of India is arriving in Ayodhya as the chief guest for the occasion. In preparation for the high-profile visit, the entire municipal area has been placed under strict security surveillance with extensive deployment of law enforcement personnel. Ayodhya District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi confirmed to the media that nearly all administrative and logistical preparations have reached completion. The Vice President, alongside Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will visit the Ramkatha Park to witness the diverse cultural programs and traditional stage performances, with robust security protocols firmly in place across the venue.
