He noted that while Koderma hosts a grand Kanwar Padyatra every year that sees the participation of thousands of devotees, the massive crowd that turned up for Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra this time has set a completely new record for the region. Another resident, Ramanuj Singh, reflected on the broader social impact of the gathering. He stated that this grand Rath Yatra has delivered a very powerful message regarding Sanatan culture and spiritual awakening. He added that the participation of such a large number of people clearly demonstrates that religious faith and unity are continuously strengthening within the society.
The Blessing of Pulling the Sacred Chariot
For many individuals, getting close to the deities was a profound personal triumph. Suman Rani, a devotee participating in the Rath Yatra, shared her initial apprehensions upon arriving at the venue. She explained that when she first saw the overwhelming crowd, she felt she might not even be able to reach the chariot. However, she credited the grace of God for ultimately giving her the privilege to pull the sacred chariot. She expressed feeling incredibly blessed as she pulled the ropes with deep faith and devotion. She was not alone in this spiritual endeavor, as her husband, Anil Kumar, also joined her in pulling the chariot, allowing both of them to receive the divine blessings of Lord Jagannath together.
