The fourth day, or Chaturthi, of the waning moon phase in the Hindu month of Ashadha is observed as Krishnapingal Sankashti Chaturthi, and this year the date falls on July 3, 2026. On this day, devotees worship Lord Ganesha in his Krishnapingal form, a form of the deity believed to remove every kind of obstacle from a devotee's life. Alongside Ganesha, the Moon God is also worshipped on this occasion, and those observing the fast complete their vrat only after sighting the moon at night. Here are the remedies astrologers say can be tried on this day to bring good fortune to an entire family.
Offer Boondi Laddoos for Everyday Happiness
Anyone hoping to fill their life with joy is advised to offer boondi laddoos to Lord Ganesha on this day. After the offering, the remaining laddoos should be distributed among young girls, whose blessings are then sought. This is believed to bring happiness even in life's smaller moments.
A Betel Leaf Ritual for Better Health
To ward off health troubles, devotees are advised to take a betel or paan leaf, draw a swastik symbol at its centre using roli, and then offer it to Lord Ganesha. This should be accompanied by chanting the mantra Om Gan Ganpataye Namah 108 times. The remedy is believed to ease health related problems.

To increase wealth, grain and overall prosperity in the household, devotees should offer modak to Vighnaharta Shri Ganesh on this day. Along with the offering, any one of Ganesha's mantras should be chanted at least 11 times. This remedy is considered helpful in strengthening one's financial position.
A Turmeric Knot Remedy for Children's Growth
For families concerned about their children's health and development, the remedy involves taking a knot of turmeric during the puja, tying it with a kalava or sacred thread, and placing it at the worship spot. Once the puja concludes, the turmeric knot should be ground with water and applied as a tilak on the child's forehead. This is believed to keep the pace of a child's life and growth steady.
Sesame and Jaggery Laddoos to Ease Big Troubles
To deal with major difficulties in life, devotees are advised to prepare laddoos of sesame or til and jaggery or gur, and offer them to Lord Ganesha as bhog. The remaining laddoos should then be distributed as prasad among all family members. This is believed to gradually reduce life's troubles.
Red Flowers and a Mantra for Family Peace
To maintain peace and harmony within the family, devotees should hold red flowers in both hands and offer them to Lord Ganesha. While offering the flowers, the mantra Om Gan Ganpataye Nam should be chanted. This remedy is said to help keep the atmosphere at home positive.
