Postal department brings Gangajal to Ambala for Sawan Shivratri at just Rs 30

The postal department in Ambala is making it easy for devotees who cannot travel to Haridwar by offering pure Gangajal from Gangotri for just Rs 30 during the holy month of Sawan.

The month of Sawan is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva, and devotees immerse themselves in sincere prayers to honor Bholenath during this sacred period. Bringing holy water from Haridwar to perform Jalabhishek is traditionally seen as a powerful symbol of devotion for Shiva followers. However, due to various constraints or lack of time, many devotees find themselves unable to make the trip to Haridwar. Stepping in to bridge this gap, the postal department has introduced a unique service to assist those who wish to maintain their spiritual rituals.

Sourcing pure water from Gangotri

The postal department has procured pure Gangajal directly from Gangotri and is offering it to the public at an extremely affordable price. A 200 ml bottle of pure Gangajal is now accessible to every interested devotee for just ₹30. Harish Kumar, the chief postmaster of Ambala GPO, shared that the department has arranged a consignment of 24,000 bottles for the season, out of which 6,000 bottles have already been sold, reflecting a strong response from the public.
