According to the temple priest, Dharm Prakash, a monkey lost its life in a tragic road accident on the PWD road passing through the area. Following the incident, his father personally conducted the final rites of the monkey with full religious honors. Shortly thereafter, a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman was constructed at that very location.
